IECA'S "SUSTAINABLE MANUFACTURING AND GROWTH INITIATIVE"

Ten policies to jump start the economy and manufacturing jobs by unlocking capital investment and removing barriers to energy efficiency.

Results:

  • Increase cumulative employment by 9.4 million job-years 2010-2030
  • Increase cumulative private investment by more than $1 trillion in 2010-2030
  • Reduce energy-related GHG emissions by 13% in 2020
  • Increase cumulative net exports by $392 billion in 2010-2030
  • Increase real GDP by $77 billion in 2020

TAKING STOCK ON CLIMATE

100 specific measures already undertaken by Congress since 2005 are estimated to reduce nearly 1.7 gigatons of GHG emissions by 2020 – nearly achieving the 2.6 gigaton reduction commitment announced by President Obama.
